Giovanni Azzone, born in Milan in 1962, graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in Industrial Technology Engineering, specializing in its economic and organizational aspects. He has been a Professor of Management Control Systems since 1997 at the Politecnico di Milano, and a Director and the Chairman of Arexpo SpA since February 2016. From December 2010 to December 2016 he was also Head of the same Politecnico di Milano. Since 2014, he has been Chairman of the FUAP-Fondazione Universitaria for training civil servants and a member of the Swiss Accreditation Council. He has been a member of the Ethics Committee of AssoConsult-Confindustria and of the SIBAC-Seoul International Business Advisory Council since 2015. He has held various positions connected with the most prestigious Italian and foreign universities. As far as his scholarly work is concerned, he has done and does research in the field of the analysis of organization and management control in industrial companies and government bodies. He is the author of books and research monographs, and has published more than 50 articles in international periodicals and books. He has been a Director of Poste Italiane since May 2016.
Elisabetta Fabri, born in Florence, in 1962, holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from John Cabot University in Rome. She is chairman of Starhotels International and Chairman and Managing director of Starhotels S.p.A. She also holds other roles in Starhotels S.p.A. groups. Elisabetta Fabri is a director of Toscana Aeroporti S.p.A. She has been a Director of Poste Italiane since May 2014.
Mimi Kung, born in Taipei - Taiwan (Cina) in 1965, attended the Boston University School of Management (1998) and Oxford University (2003). From 1988 to 1990 she held the position of Assistant Controller at The Grand Hyatt (Taipei, Taiwan). Subsequently, from 1991 al 1995 she worked at GE Capital (Stamford Connecticut) as a Collateral and Investment Analyst in the Corporate Finance Group. In 1995, she entered American Express, where she held various senior positions until 2015 in New York, London and Rome, including the Chief Financial Officer of American Express Europe and the final one of Senior Vice President, Head of the “Card Services Central Europe & International Currency Cards” function, and Country Manager for Italy. She has been a Director of Poste Italiane since May 2016.
Umberto Carlo Maria Nicodano, born in Milan in 1952, holds a law degree from the University of Milan. From 1976 to 1982, he worked as in-house counsel for Sperry Univac, a division of Sperry Rand Corporation in Milan, London, Philadelphia and Rome. Since 1982, he began to practice as a lawyer, initially in Erede Bianchi Giliberti, later called Erede and Associates. In 1999 he contributed to the establishment of the law firm Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, latter called Bonelli Erede. He has been a director of Poste Italiane since July 2015.
Chiara Palmieri, born in Milan in 1970, holds a cum laude degree in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, awarded in 1994. From 1994 to 2002, she worked for Morgan Stanley, where she worked on the IPOs of Bulgari, Gucci, Mediaset, Harvey Nichols, as well as the privatization of Telecom Italy and ENI. Since 1997 Chiara Palmieri was responsible for Product Development EMEA. From 2002 to 2003, Chiara Palmieri worked for Credit Suisse, reporting directly to the Head of Private Banking for Europe, and was the Head of Product Development in Europe. From 2003 to 2010, Chiara Palmieri worked for Goldman Sachs, with the responsibility for business development in Italy and portfolio management of key clients. From 2013 she was General Manager of Laprima Holding Srl. Since 2013, she has been a member of the board of directors of SNAI S.p.A., and since 2014, the board of directors of Carisma SGR. Since 2012 Chiara Palmieri has been working as a professor within the school of management of Bocconi University, and has been a Director of Poste Italiane by July 2015.
Filippo Passerini, born in Rome in 1957, holds a degree in statistics from La Sapienza University of Rome. From 1981 to 2015, he held numerous positions at Procter & Gamble, including Head of Global Business Services (from 2003) and Chief Information Officer (from 2004). Filippo Passerini currently provides consultancy for the Carlyle Group and Columbia University and is a member of the board of the listed US companies United Rentals Inc. and Greatbatch Inc. He has been a Director of Poste Italiane since September 2015.
Roberto Rao, born in Rome in 1968, holds a law degree from La Sapienza University of Rome. Since 1991, he has been enrolled with the Journalists' Guild. From 1992 until 1993, he was Head of communications at ACEA. He was a collaborator at the press office of the Associazione dei Costruttori Edili Romani (Association of Roman Construction Companies) from 1992-1993; press office staff member of the Parliamentary Group of the Christian Democrat Centre of the Chamber of Deputies from 1994 until 1998; and press office staff member of the Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies (1998-2001). From 1996 until 1998, he offered his professional services to the CNC Consortium of ANCI. From 1996 until 1998, he was also a collaborator of the magazine of the Associazione Nazionale Comuni d'Italia (National Association of Italian Cities/Towns). From 1998 until 2001, he held the role of Head of the Press Office of the Christian Democrat Centre and Head of Communications for the Parliamentary Groups. He also held the role of Spokesman of the Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies (2001-2006), Head of Communications of UIP-Unione Interparlamentare (2006-2008) and Consultant for communications of the Authority in charge of public works, services and supply contracts (2007-2008). From March 2008 until February 2013, he was Deputy of the Unione di Centro (Group leader in the Justice Commission and the Bicameral Commission for oversight of general guidance in radio-television services), and later held until February 2014 the role of Advisor of the Minister of Justice, Annamaria Cancellieri, on social matters and crime/anti-social behavior. Since March 2014, he has been economic and financial Advisor to the Minister of Justice, Andrea Orlando. He has been a Director of Poste Italiane since May 2014.
